Physical Health Concerns

  • In today’s society, women are often expected to bounce back from childbirth within a month or two, resulting in slower recovery, stress, exhaustion and even infections or secondary illnesses such as mastitis or flu.

  • Some common physical concerns include recovery from an episiotomy or tear, sore back, painful breasts, and recovery from surgery following a C-section.

  • Again, referrals to additional support is extremely beneficial (doula, housekeeper, ESP Program), as well as knowledge of medical coverage for access to services that will help (massage therapy, chiropractor, etc.)
